Principle of Thermal Shock Test Chamber

    The thermal shock chamber, also known as a high-low temperature shock chamber or thermal shock test chamber, has the distinctive feature of completing temperature transitions within 3-5 minutes, as specified by national standards. How does this equipment achieve such rapid temperature transitions? The following explains the working principle of the thermal shock test chamber.

    1. Thermal shock chamber control system: The controller employs an imported programmable PLC and high-quality imported LCD human-machine interface (color LCD touchscreen) dual-loop temperature control system. The control display uses an imported color LCD touchscreen (7 inches) control display. This controller features a Chinese-language operation interface, capable of displaying and setting test parameters, curves, total runtime, segment runtime, heater operational status, and calendar time. The control program is programmed using a human-machine dialogue interface, which is user-friendly. Simply setting the temperature enables the automatic operation of the refrigeration unit. The thermal shock chamber control system employs an intelligent control software system capable of automatically coordinating the operational conditions of sub-systems such as refrigeration and heating, ensuring high-precision control across the entire temperature range while achieving energy-saving and consumption-reduction objectives. A comprehensive detection system automatically displays detailed fault information and alarms. For instance, when the test chamber encounters an anomaly, the controller displays the fault status and also stores historical data trend charts and fault records. The manufacturer offers free software system upgrades for two years. Optional R485 computer communication interfaces and computer-assisted control system devices can be selected to enable data transmission and remote control functions. A recorder can also be selected for experimental data recording.

    3. Independent cooling and heating zones. Before the test begins, cooling and heating are performed first. Generally, the cooling and heating zone temperatures are set to the impact temperature plus 20°C. Once the cooling and heating temperatures reach the impact range, the machine will perform cold or hot impact according to the pre-set program. There are two principles: one is moving impact, and the other is three-chamber impact.
